Would like to thank Michelle for all her help while I was on a day out in Newbiggin with a young disabled girl I look after. Emily uses a power wheelchair and needed somewhere to go and have her lunch. Emily also needed to have assistance to eat. Michelle kindly heated Emily’s dinner ( at our own risk ) and allowed us in the restaurant with no fuss at all and wheelchair access. I enjoyed my lunch of homemade quiche, salad and chips with a lovely cup of coffee. Very polite staff and excellent service. Would highly recommend. Keep up the good work x

Just want to thank you for a wonderful lunch yesterday. The care you took especially for my sister in law with her major egg allergy. The food was amazing and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We’d love to visit again if in the area. Many thanks to you all.x

Hi I recently stopped off for a coffee prior to attending a funeral nearby and felt so welcomed. We returned to have a bite to eat and we weren't let down by the quality and the amount . So much so I'm planning on completing the 50 mile round trip and the Tyne tunnel to sample the breakfast. The 3 lasses working there that day excellent costumer service Baz(bugler)

Breakfast (served until 11 am daily, as the menu specifies) was delicious. The coffee was top notch and the shopkeep did a marvelous job engaging us. While some menu items seemed more expensive than others, the specialty items of the shop were cheap and scrumptious. Quaint atmosphere with locals abundant. Would return, especially for the poached eggs!

Lovey place, love people. Nice to see local business. Michelle makes it feel like you’re nipping in for a cuppa with your friend.
